As a photographer near Athens Ohio, I love finding unique outdoor settings that help families relax and simply enjoy being together. This unexpected daisy field quickly became one of my favorite places to photograph.
Every year brings something different, and this summer our property surprised us with a beautiful field of wild daisies. They weren’t planned, but they created the perfect backdrop for two family photo sessions. Sometimes the best locations are the ones nature creates for us!
The first session featured a sweet big sister and her one-year-old little brother. Watching them explore the flowers together was so much fun. Big sister proudly held his hand, picked daisies, and made him laugh while he crawled through the field. Their curiosity and playful personalities made every photo feel natural and full of joy.
The second session brought another wonderful family to the daisies. Mom, Dad, big brother, and sister spent the evening laughing, playing, and enjoying the beautiful summer blooms. To make the session even more personal, we included one of our horses in a few photographs. The horse added such a peaceful an element to the gallery, creating memories that truly reflected this family’s love of nature and animals.
These sessions are a reminder that you don’t need elaborate props or popular destinations to create meaningful family photos. Sometimes all it takes is a beautiful evening, a field of wildflowers, and the people you love most.
