Choosing a wedding photographer is more than just taking pretty pictures and checking off a shot list. I believe it is important to tell your story, the heart behind your wedding day. I will be a seamless part of your wedding day. I want to collaborate with you to tell your story. Below I will answer some questions you may have about how we will work together to do just that.

How many photos do you usually deliver and what’s your turn around time?
No wedding is exactly the same and each is unique. But on average you will get approximately 50-60 signature edited photos per hour that I’m with you.  For weddings, the turnaround time is around 4 weeks, but as far as I’m able, I aim to deliver faster. For all other sessions, the turn around time is about 2 weeks. I know you’re excited, so I’ll posts 1-3 images previews on our social media platforms to hold you over while you’re waiting.

What type of photos will I receive in a wedding collection and do you use a shot list?
As each couple is unique, it depends on your wedding day. On a typical wedding day, I’ll get the traditional group family and bridal party portraits (wherever has great light), all the little details of the day, the ceremony, getting ready candids, your reception party, and the portraits of you and your new spouse. I do not operate off a full-day “shot list,” but rather capture the story and day as it unfolds realistically and naturally. To help with smoothness and clarity, we follow a list of family members for the family portraits, but that’s the only one.

What will an 8 hour day collection usually include?
I will generally come while the bridal party is getting ready, but do not go to salons. As a general guideline, I arrive when the bridesmaids are about 75% ready, images taken before this time are not the most flattering. I leave when the reception events are completed, meaning everything planned into the schedule–all the official dances, cake-cutting, bouquet/garter toss, etc., and some open floor dancing as well. We can discuss your schedule more in depth when we get closer to your date and I can assist you with planning a smooth timeline for your day.

How many weddings do you shoot a year?
To provide the best experience and to keep me fresh and creative, I am unable to book every wedding inquiry, and I try to keep my weddings to one or two per month. I want to be able to be there for each of my couples 100% before, during and after the wedding.

Do you have backup equiptment?
Absolutely! I have backups for all my cameras, lenses, memory cards, and lighting equipment.

Do you bring your own lighting?
Yes! I like to use natural light when it is available, but when it gets dark out and it’s PARTY TIME, I love getting creative with artificial light (flash)!

When should I book you?
It is never too early, especially if you have a spring or fall wedding date as those tend to fill up the quickest!

How do we book? 
I make reviewing and signing contracts as easy as possible. Signing and payment is handled digitally though my online contract provider. If you’d like to pay by check, just let me know. When you book a wedding event with me, I’m reserving that entire date, and will not make other arrangements for that day. Therefore I do require a non-refundable retainer of 30% of the collection price upon signing the contract. The remaining balance is due 15 days before your wedding date.

Do you have face-to-face meetings with clients once booked?
For me to tell your story the very best possible way, I would love to meet with you prior to your wedding. Ideally we will be doing an engagement shoot to get out any of the pre-wedding photography jitters and get you both more comfortable in from of the camera. Building a relationship with you is really important to me to help your pictures show your true selves. If we are unable to meet in person, I would like to be able to Skype with you. I LOVE getting to know you and your love story.

Where are you willing to photograph weddings?
