My Favorite Athens Fall Photo Locations

I can’t wait to share some of my favorite locations around Athens for your fall family photos. Of course there are so so many more and these are just a starting point around southern Ohio. I just went through my sessions from last year and picked out my five favorite spots I went to with my families. My five favorite photo locations include The Ridges, Hocking Hills, Lake Snowden, Conkles Hollow (near Hocking Hills) and a pumpkin patch just outside of Logan Ohio. I love the colors fall brings and the fun that that you can have throwing leaves around at each other. There is just a vibrant life that comes alive amongst the fall.

Conkles Hollow

Upper Rim Trail -

What a beautiful vista overlooking the beautiful rolling hills! It's a little bit of a hike up to the spot and I would not recommend young kids but its so beautiful.

The Ridges

Buildings and Woods

The Athens Ridges are a beautiful treasure trove of buildings and beautiful grounds that are a perfect backdrop for your fall family photos. Lots of variety and endless options here.

Hocking Hills

My two favorite locations in Hocking Hills in the fall are Cedar Falls and Ash Cave. Followed up by the famous Old Mans cave. They are all beautiful year round but of course are even more amazing in the fall.

Lake Snowden

Super close to home and hands down a great location for a fall photo session. It boasts very large oak trees thus leaving a beautiful blanket of orange and yellow leaves.

Pumpkin Patch

This particular patch was just Walker Family Farm just outside Logan Ohio and it was an awesome spot for a photo session. So fun and such a fall themed spot for photos!
